Osteopathy is a holistic approach to manual therapy that considers how the soft tissues of the body are responding to or affecting changes in the bony structure. Based on the osteopathic principle that structure and function are always reciprocally related, treatment involves soft-tissue manipulation and gentle joint mobilization to correct imbalances in structure or force that may be contributing to pain, loss of function, or illness. By restoring free motion in all structures related to your restriction pattern, the body’s innate ability to heal and regulate on its own can be re-established, leading to lasting relief of discomfort and improved movement.

An Osteopathic Manual Practitioner observes the body as a whole, as one dynamic unit of function, to seek out how and why a patient experiences their symptoms and strives to address the root cause of this dysfunction by following treatment principles based in anatomy and functional motion.

Registered Massage Therapy

At this time, Robyn and Laura are not accepting new massage therapy clients. Online booking is kept open for existing clients only, and we kindly ask that this be respected.

If you are a new client and book an appointment online, please note that your appointment will be cancelled. We recommend connecting with another registered massage therapist, or exploring osteopathic treatment with Robyn.

Laura began her career in Massage Therapy in 2014, graduating from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. However, her journey into healthcare began back in Scotland, graduating University with a BSc in Nursing.

Realizing that her interests lay in a more holistic approach to health, she went on to study Reflexology at the Scottish School of Reflexology, and had her own Reflexology business until she moved to Canada in 2009. It was here that she was introduced to Massage Therapy.

Laura’s real passion though lies in the subtle work of CranioSacral Therapy – a gentle non-invasive technique which releases restrictions within the body. CranioSacral Therapy works closely with the central nervous system to help the body to self correct and heal.

This work has recently introduced her to a very exciting new practice: Fascial Dynamics Manual Therapy. This is another gentle yet powerful therapy that works on restrictions within the fascial matrix system that are limiting the body’s full potential. Addressing the fibrous fascial network and the fluidity of the matrix, Fascial Dynamics Manual Therapy allows the body to self-regulate, adapt and heal.

Laura enjoys being able to integrate all her various disciplines into her treatments. She’s committed to developing her skills and techniques to offer her clients the best treatment to improve their health and well being.
